WOODWARD — Bethany senior Charlie Tolle pitched a one-hit complete-game shutout as the Bronchos routed Woodward, 10-0, Monday (April 7) in a 4A-4 contest.

Tolle walked three and struck out 13 batters in the win. He hit two batters.

Bethany (14-3, 6-2) scored single runs in the second, third and fifth innings before scoring seven runs in the final two innings.

At the plate, Tolle went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs batted in.

Fellow senior Joe Berry also went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Another senior, Brock Cross, was also 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.

Senior Levi Moore, Andrew Taber and Layton Reither each had a hit in the win.

The Bronchos had nine hits, walked four times and struck out eight times.

UP NEXT

The Bronchos host the Boomers (7-12, 2-6) Tuesday (April 8) at 5 p.m. to finish the district series.
