YUKON — Yukon built an early lead en route to a 13-3 rout of Putnam City North Wednesday (April 2) in a 6A-1 contest.
Yukon (10-8, 5-1) scored four runs each in the first and second innings and five runs in the third in the win. The Millers had eight hits, five walks and six stolen bases.
North got hits from senior Geoffry Schmid, juniors Quincy Robinson, JaQuari Dansby, Alfredo Renteria and Robert Marcy.
Robinson’s double and Dansby’s triple highlighted a three-run fifth inning for the Panthers to avoid the shutout. North had four of its five hits in the final inning.
