BETHANY – Several Bethany Bronchos were honored by the Western Athletic Conference recently.

Senior Aiden Todd was named to the first team. Todd averaged 14 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.6 steals a game.

Fellow senior Wyatt Geissler added second team honors. Geissler had 11.6 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals a contest.

Senior Jackie Payne was named to the third team. Payne had 8.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.7 steals a game.

Bethany had two players named honorable mention. Seniors Garrett Johnson and Lukas Wooldridge were honored. Johnson scored 5.7 points a game, had 2.6 rebounds, one assist and 1.3 steals a contest. Wooldridge had 9.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.8 steals a game.

Broncho coach Brett Cannon was named Coach of the Year by the conference. Cannon led Bethany to a 19-9 record and a berth in the Class 4A state tournament.

Cannon has compiled a 57-29 record over three seasons with the Bronchos.

Weatherford senior C.J. Nickson was named Offensive Player of the Year. Fellow Weatherford senior Ethan Sage was the unanimous pick as Defensive Player of the Year.

Nickson earned the Most Valuable Player award.
