CLINTON — Bethany smacked 13 hits and Broncho starter Charlie Tolle struck out 10 batters in a 9-3 win over host Clinton Wednesday (April 2) in a 4A-4 contest.

All but one Broncho in the lineup got a hit.

Junior Karter Thomas went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a run batted in, a double and a stolen base. Tolle added a 2-for-5 day with a triple and three RBIs.

Junior Judson Gilliland went 2-for-3 and scored a run. Senior Levi Moore was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Seniors Layton Reither, Brock Cross and sophomore Cooper Willis each collected a hit. Cross stole three bases in the win.

Tolle went 5 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and three runs. The senior walked five batters to go with the 10 strikeouts.

Cross pitched the final 1 2/3 innings. He didn’t allow a hit or run and struck out three batters.

UP NEXT

The Bronchos host 6A Putnam City North (1-15) Friday (April 4) at 5 p.m.

The Panthers lost to Yukon, 13-3, Wednesday. North plays Choctaw Thursday before playing Bethany the next day.
