
OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City West dropped a 7-2 contest to Westmoore in a 6A-1 matchup Monday (March 24).
The Jaguars (5-6, 1-2) scored two runs in the third inning, one run in the fourth inning and two more in the fifth to extend a 2-1 lead.
West (3-3, 2-1) pitching allowed seven walks in the loss and Westmoore collected 13 stolen bases.
The Patriots got on the scoreboard in the top of the third inning when senior Marshall Byars scored on a passed ball.
West got its final run in the sixth inning when senior Nathan Vann singled to center field, scoring freshman Cadence Smith (who led off the inning with a double).

West hosts Westmoore Tuesday (March 25) at 5 p.m. to conclude the 6A-1 series.
