TUTTLE — Bethany senior Andrew Taber homered twice and drove in eight runs in the Bronchos’ 14-1 rout of Oologah Friday (March 21) in the Tuttle Spring Break Festival.

Taber’s first home run, a three-run shot in the second inning keyed an eight-run second inning for the Bronchos. Taber later had an RBI single in the same inning to give Bethany an 8-1 lead.

In the second inning, the Bronchos (7-2) added six more runs. Sophomore Brody McLaren homered over the left field wall and Taber added another three-run homer to make it 14-1.

Taber finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored. McLaren added a 2-for-2 day with two runs scored and two RBIs. Seniors Charlie Tolle, Joe Berry and Reither each added a hit. McLaren and Tolle collected doubles in the win.

Reither earned in the win in four innings due to the run-rule win. Reither allowed three hits, one run (which wasn’t earned). He walked one batter and struck out two.

Bethany finishes up the festival by playing 5A Lawton MacArthur (5-3) Saturday (March 22) at 2:45 p.m.

The Highlanders beat Weatherford, 13-4, Friday at the festival.
