KINGFISHER — Bethany senior Charlie Tolle no-hit Kingfisher in the Bronchos’ 13-0 run-rule win Monday (March 10) in a 4A-4 matchup.

Tolle struck out 11 in the six-inning contest. He walked three batters and hit one batter.

The Bronchos took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Tolle reached on an infield error, scoring senior Layton Reither, who singled with one out.

Bethany (4-1, 2-1) broke the game open in the fifth inning with a two-out rally. It started with a Tolle ground ball that ended up as an infield error. Kingfisher (0-2, 0-1) had two more errors in the inning to go along with singles by junior Karter Thomas, seniors Joe Berry, Brock Cross and Levi Moore.

Senior Andrew Tabor and sophomore Cooper Willis added walks in the 7-run inning and Bethany took a 8-0 lead.

In the sixth inning, the Bronchos added five more runs with a walk and four straight singles to start off the inning. Moore added a 3-run double to left field and Reither scored another with a sacrifice fly.

The Bronchos banged out 12 hits in the win.

Taber went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Thomas, Berry and Moore each went 2-for-4. Berry drove in three runs and Moore added four RBIs.

Bethany batters didn’t have a strikeout in the game and walked four times.

Bethany hosts Kingfisher Tuesday (March 11) to complete the 2-game series at 5 p.m.
