
MIDWEST CITY — Putnam City struggled in the fourth quarter, losing to Choctaw, 49-44, in the Class 6A West Area 2 playoffs at Carl Albert.
The loss ended the Pirates season at 19-7.
After a tight first half, Choctaw led 23-21. In the third quarter, the Pirates went on a 15-5 run with seven points from senior JaColby Williams and six points from sophomore Gabe Osborne.
Putnam City went cold in the fourth quarter. The Yellow Jackets outscored PC, 21-8, to earn the win.
Williams scored a game-high 20 points (tied with Choctaw junior Jayden Hopkins). Williams hit four 3-pointers.
Osborne finished with 12 points and sophomore Miles Jackson followed with six points.
