
EDMOND — Edmond Memorial sprinted out to an early lead in a 62-41 win over Putnam City Saturday (March 1) in the Class 6A West Regional 1 Final at Edmond Memorial.
The Lady Pirates (8-13) were held to singe digits in each of the first three quarters as Edmond Memorial (23-3) built a 48-24 lead.
Senior Paisthintz Booker led PC with 15 points. Booker also had eight rebounds and three steals.
Fellow senior Kayla Hill added nine points.
Another senior, Destinee Hunt, followed with eights points and six rebounds.

Putnam City (8-13) meets Norman North (15-9) Thursday (March 6) in the Class 6A West Area 1 at Noble. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m.
The winner of that game plays next Saturday for a state tournament berth.
The Lady Timberwolves lost to Norman, 61-53, Saturday.
