
OKLAHOMA CITY — Putnam City West wrapped up the regular season with a 70-52 win over Stillwater Saturday (Feb. 15) in a 6A-3 game.
The Patriots (10-13, 7-7) led 29-27 at halftime but outscored the Pioneers, 20-6, in the third quarter to pull away.
West had three players score in double figures.
Senior Jordan Kariuki scored a game-high 16 points, including seven points in the fourth quarter.
Junior DJ Carter added 15 points. Carter hit two 3-pointers in the third quarter. Fellow junior Quavion Wheeler followed with 13 points, including six in the fourth quarter.
UP NEXT
The Patriots enter the playoffs after finishing fourth in 6A-3.
West will meet Southmoore Friday (Feb. 21) in a non-district contest, weather permitting. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
The regional playoffs begin Feb. 27.
