
OKLAHOMA CITY — Owasso junior Jalen Montonati poured in 29 points as the Rams beat Putnam City West, 62-44, Friday (Feb. 7) in a 6A-3 game.
“The kids played very well,” Putnam City West coach Brian Booker said via text. “We couldn’t get stops in the fourth quarter.”
In the fourth quarter, Owasso outscored West, 29-17.
West junior Quavion Wheeler led the Patriots with 12 points, including seven points in the fourth quarter.
Fellow junior DJ Carter added 10 points.
“We went toe to toe with a team that’s ranked top 25 in the nation,” Booker said. “If we play like this every night we are a very tough team to beat.”

West continues 6A-3 play Tuesday(Feb. 11) at Westmoore (12-8, 7-3) at 7:30 p.m.
The Jaguars beat Muskogee, 54-44, Friday.
