CACHE— Bethany sprinted out to a big lead en route to a 62-43 win over Cache Tuesday (Feb. 4) in a Western Athletic Conference matchup.
“Great effort and execution all night by our guys,” Bethany coach Brett Cannon said via text. “We are cleaning a lot up and looking more sharp every day.
“That’s our team goal right now. Not worrying about games and record but focusing on getting better every single day in practice,” Cannon said.
The 4A 12th-ranked Bronchos (12-6, 7-3) held Cache to single digits in both the first and third quarters in the win.
Senior Aiden Todd led the Bronchos with 19 points with three 3- pointers. Fellow senior Jackie Payne added 11 points, including seven points in the third quarter.
Senior Wyatt Geissler followed with 10 points, including two treys.
Cannon highlighted senior Garrett Johnson, saying that he “played awesome.
“He plays with a ton of pride and extremely hard every game. I would go to war behind that kid every day. Was in the right spot every possession defensively and set the tone for us tonight,” Cannon said.
