
NORMAN — Putnam City West picked up its first win of the season Saturday (Jan. 25) with a 35-31 victory over 5A Santa Fe South in the Bobby Hicks Invitational Tournament at Little Axe.
West (1-12) got 13 points from Kimyia Bullard. The junior scored nine points in the second half in which the Lady Patriots overcame a 20-19 halftime score.
Freshman Hay Lee Arriola added 12 points, including two 3-pointers.
UP NEXT
West hosts Ponca City Tuesday (Jan. 28) at 6 p.m. in a 6A-3 contest.
Ponca City (4-12, 2-5) lost to host Deer Creek, 61-37, Saturday in the Bruce Gray Invitational.
