
FRONTENAC, Kan. — Putnam City routed Fort Scott (Kan.), 71-32, in the Frontenac Raider Classic in southeast Kansas Thursday (Jan. 23).
“Always good to win,” Putnam City coach Brandon Jackson said via text. “Going out of state and playing different competition is really fun and a great thing for our program.”
Senior Jacolby Williams fueled the offense early, hitting five 3-pointers.
“Williams was in a very good groove,” Jackson said.
The Pirates had their biggest assist total of the year in the win.
“We moved the ball really well,” Jackson said.

Putnam City (10-4) meets Fair Grove (Mo.), a Class 3 school, Friday at 8:30 p.m. in the semifinals. The Eagles are 8-6.
