DEL CITY – Western Heights struggled against one of the top teams in Class 3A in a 52-27 loss to Holdenville Saturday (Dec. 28) in the Del City Holiday Festival.
The Lady Jets (1-7) trailed by only two points (10-8) after one quarter but 3A 11th-ranked Holdenville (7-2) extended the lead to nine points by halftime, 26-17.
Sophomore Ace Engmann scored a game-high 17 points. Engmann scored all eight of the Lady Jet points in the first quarter and finished the first half with 12 points.

The Lady Jets will play in the Hammon Tournament Jan. 9-11.
