DEL CITY – Holdenville used a strong second quarter to beat Western Heights, 53-41, Saturday (Dec. 28) at the Del City Holiday Festival.
The Wolverine (8-2 and ranked 11th in Class 3A), outscored the Jets 17-6 in the second quarter after having a 16-13 lead after the opening period.
Junior Cruz Bluitt scored 15 points and senior Dillon Bullard added 13 points in the loss. Bluitt had 3 treys.
Holdenville sophomore Boston Lowe scored a game-high 16 points. Lowe hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter.

The Jets (4-5, 2-3) have some time off before playing 5A-2’s top team, Lawton, Jan. 14.
The Wolverines are 13-1 and 4-0 in district play. Lawton will play at Del City Jan. 7 and at home against sister school Lawton MacArthur Jan. 10.
