BETHANY – Lady Broncho senior Kayten Donley and sophomore Camryn Regier each notched a double-double in Bethany’s 52-33 win over Harding Charter Prep Friday (Dec. 20).

Donley finished with a game-high 24 points. The Oral Roberts signee shot 42 percent from the field and grabbed 11 rebounds. Donley also had three steals and three blocks.

Regier added 10 points on 42 percent shooting. She added 13 rebounds, one block and a steal.

“They are stepping up and out working our opponents,” Bethany coach Eric Sailer said via text about his squad, which improved to 4-2.

Sailer pointed out that in Bethany’s win over Chickasha on Tuesday, his team had 18 turnovers. Against Harding Charter, the Lady Bronchos finished with only six turnovers.

“We did a much better job of taking care of the ball!!!” Sailer said. “This week in practice we had long discussions on taking care of the ball. We also talked about finding a better shot.”

Bethany’s struggles beyond the arc continue with no 3-pointers.

“Even though our 3-ball is not falling for us, I thought our girls did a better job especially in the second half at finding a better shot,” Sailer said. “The girls are frustrated with our 3s right now. But, they did not hang their heads in the second. They made the extra pass or drove the basketball to find a better selection.”

Sophomore Ali Linn added eight points in the second half, making a “huge impact on the game,” Sailer said.

This came after Linn struggled against Chickasha on Tuesday. Sailer switched things up and Linn made that impact coming off the bench.

Junior Reese Harris finished with six points.

“I thought Reese did well defensively at times on their best player, then turned around and took care of the ball on offense. She ended the game with zero turnovers,” Sailer said.

Harding Charter’s Moriah Gaston was the only thorn in Bethany’s side with 23 points. The junior drilled six treys for the Lady Eagles.
