
DUNCAN – Western Heights dug an early hole Tuesday (Dec. 17) in a 46-32 loss to Duncan in a 5A-2 contest.
The Lady Jets (1-4, 1-3) trailed 17-2 after the first quarter 30-7 by halftime. Western Heights actually outscored Duncan in the second half, 25-16.
“Started off slow and didn’t finish when we had high percentage shots around the rim early,” Western Heights coach Charles Hunt said via text. “Dug a hole and fought to get back in the game. They played hard and overcame some adversity.”
Hunt praised his opponent in the loss.
“We played a well-coached and disciplined team with great leadership.”
