NORMAN – Just two days after falling to Norman in the finals of the Joe Lawson Memorial Invitational Tournament, Putnam City North avenged the loss with a 57-49 win over the Lady Tigers Tuesday (Dec. 17) in a 6A-2 game.
“I thought we played tougher tonight,” Putnam City North coach Logan Martin said via text. “We got them in some foul trouble, attacked the rim better and had a better night from the free throw line. I was really proud of the way we competed and how we played defensively as a team.”
North had three players score in double figures, led by junior Kiana Gray with 16 points. Gray had two 3-pointers. Seniors Nykaiya Dillard and Brandie Harrod each scored 12 points in the win.
Norman senior Keeley Parks scored a game-high 22 points for the Lady Tigers.
