TULSA – Putnam City North swimmers competed at Booker T. Washington Tuesday (Dec. 10) and collected rubber ducks with each win at the meet.

The Panthers and Lady Panthers competed against host Booker T. Washington, Stillwater, Midwest City, Del City and Carl Albert, Muskogee and Pryor.

Rubber ducks were handed out to first place finishers in each heat of the events.

North swimmers collected 12 ducks. In all, seven different swimmers earned a duck for winning.

Senior Noah Goggs, sophomore Colin Turbayne and freshman Felix Parker each got two ducks.

For the Lady Panthers, junior Ava Tu and Scarlet Mathis each earned two ducks. Senior Emma Bailor and junior Aaliya Wilkin each snagged one duck.

“The results show that progress and that there is more work to be done,” Putnam City North girls swimming coach said via email.

The meet marked the second short course meter pool of the season.

North had two swimmers that made their debut: junior Amber Tu in the 50 SC Meter Freestyle and senior Kha Truong in both the 50 SC Meter Freestyle and 100 SC Meter Freestyle events.
