OKLAHOMA CITY – Putnam City North had a pair of second place finishers at the Heritage Hall Cross Country Meet Thursday (Oct. 10).

Junior Phoenix McClain ran a 17:38.32, just behind Carl Albert’s Koen Wagner’s time 17:24.28

North’s boys squad finished second in the team standings.

On the girls side, junior Toni Ibarra ran a 20:36.64 behind the 20:29.21 time from OKC Storm’s Zya Thrash.

North finished fourth in the girls standings.

WEST’S GARCIA, GRAMAJO HAVE TOP-10 FINISHES

Putnam City West sophomore Diego Garcia paced West with seventh place finish in 18:19.84. As a team, West’s boys finished third.

Sophomore Estheisy Gramajo finished ninth in the girls race with a time of 25:01.92. As a team, the Lady Patriots finished third.

JETS’ MICHAELBREAD FINISHED FIFTH

Western Heights senior River Michaelbread finished fifth in 17:57.39. The Jets landed in fourth as a team in the boys competition

Junior Dulce Favela paced the Lady Jets with a time of 28:48.26.

UP NEXT

Putnam City West and Putnam City North will compete in the Oklahoma 7 Conference meet Oct. 15 in Enid.

Western Heights will compete in a 5A regional Oct. 26 in Mustang.
