BETHANY – Bethany cross country coach Zac Coulson has been named the 2023-2024 Oklahoma Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).

Coulson led Bethany to a 4A boys state title last season.

He released a statement to West Metro Sports.

“I don’t get this award on my own,” the statement read. “I thank God for giving me the gift and passion for coaching and running.

“I thank my wife Jade for the amazing support she has always given and the sacrifices she has made for me to be the coach I am. She is the rock and glue.

“I thank my cross country team and their families. The Bethany cross country community support is incredible.

“I thank my senior boys who showed up everyday with discipline and consistency.

“They bought in and believed.

“I don’t get recognized for this award without all these amazing people in my life.”
