

Bethany rolled up 456 yards of total offense in the Bronchos’ 52-14 win over Chickasha Friday (Sep. 27).
Senior Jackie Payne was 4-of-7 for 158 yards and three touchdowns. Payne’s average yards per completion was 38.5 yards.
A big part of that high average was junior Judson Gilliland, who caught one touchdown pass for 62 yards. Senior Wyatt Geissler caught three passes (two for scores) and 104 yards.
On the ground, Gilliland rushed nine times for 135 yards and two more scores. Payne had six touches for 46 yards rushing. Senior Jackson Dull added five carries for 43 yards.
Junior Baren Tehee scored a touchdown in the second half, finishing with 41 yards on six carries.
Gilliland led Bethany on defense with 10 tackles and two tackles for loss. Senior Devonta Melton added eight tackles with two for loss.
Fellow senior Brock Cross had six tackles as did sophomore Malachi Chatman. Chatman also had a tackle for loss.
Payne, senior Jonathan Salcedo, freshman Breck Brady and senior Charlie Tolle each had a sack.
NEXT OPPONENT: Blanchard
The fifth-ranked Lions struggled early against Harrah, falling behind 7-0 in the first half. Blanchard scored 21 straight points for the win on the road last Friday (Sept. 30).
Through four games, the Lions are averaging 29.3 points a game and 280 yards a contest.
