EDMOND – Edmond North turned a Putnam City lead into an Edmond North run-rule win with two big innings, taking advantage of Lady Pirate errors in a 11-2 contest Tuesday (Oct. 1).

Putnam City scored in the first inning. Sophomore Maece Bourbonnais hit a two-out double to center. She scored on fellow sophomore Madi Gossman’s single to left. Edmond North answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning.

In the third inning, Putnam City added a run on an RBI-single to center by Bourbonnais, scoring junior Dahlia Hickerson, who reached on an error.

In the bottom half of the inning, Edmond North scored five runs to take the lead with a triple and five Original errors.

In the fourth inning, a double, home run and two more errors extended the lead to 11-2.

Bourbonnais finished 2-for-3. Sophomore Samantha Tidmore, Gossman, sophomore Addison Grier and sophomore Alexandra Hatlelid each had a hit.

Junior Claire Penwell took the loss. Penwell allowed only two earned runs in the loss.
