OKLAHOMA CITY – Putnam City West lost two games Friday (Sept. 27) in the Queens of the South Tournament at U.S. Grant.
GAME 1: U.S. GRANT 12, PUTNAM CITY WEST 0
West was no-hit in the three-inning loss to host Grant. Rosaura Rojas-Delgado was the Lady Patriots’ only baserunner with a leadoff walk in the third inning.
GAME 2: DOUGLASS 9, PUTNAM CITY WEST 8
Douglass scored four runs in the third inning to come back to beat West.
The Lay Patriots took advantage of 10 walks to build an 8-5 lead. Analicia Ramirez and Aaliyah Lewis had West’s only hits.
Kaydence Lopez got the loss despite not giving up an earned run. Lopez struck out four batters in 1 2/3 innings.
West committed two errors.
