
MOORE – Putnam City North junior Mason Jones threw three touchdowns in the Panthers’ 43-21 win over Southmoore Thursday (Sept. 19).
Jones was 12-of-15 for 129 yards. He did have one interception.
Senior Lewis Moreland was Jones’ biggest target with four catches for 156 yards. Fellow senior Kameron Oliver also had four catches for 16 yards, including two touchdowns.
Sophomore Charlie Bowie only had one catch, but it was a 33-yard touchdown reception.
ALFORD LIMITED DUE TO INJURY
North senior Milton Alford had seven carries for 84 yards as dealt with an injury early in the game. Oliver added six carries for 47 yards.
Senior Dameon Hardeman added eight carries for 37 yards and junior Bishop Moore finished with three carries and 32 yards.
HARDMON LEADS NORTH DEFENSE
Hardmon also led the Panthers with seven tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks on defense.
Junior JT Hutchinson finished with six tackles. Junior Mitchell Taylor, senior Kelvin Tucker, junior Carter Pierce and Moore each four tackles.
Moore added one sack as well.
