WARR ACRES – Putnam City West was routed twice on the first day of the Putnam City Festival Thursday (Sept. 19).

The Irish scored eight runs in the first inning en route to the blowout win. Bishop McGuinness smacked 12 hits and took advantage of five West errors.
Jamariea Conway had the Lady Patriots’ lone hit.
In the circle, Kaydence Lopez struck out seven batters. Of the 16 runs she allowed, only three runs were earned.

Del City scored 10 runs in the first inning on the way to a three-inning run-rule.
The Lady Patriots’ Analicia Ramirez and Jazmyne Thomas each had a hit in the loss.
