OKLAHOMA CITY – The Lady Jets got plenty of offense but Mount Saint Mary had just a little more in 12-11 win Thursday (Sept. 5).
Western Heights had seven hits in the loss.
Trailing 12-10 in the top of the seventh inning, the Lady Jets loaded the bases with two walks and a hit by pitch. With two outs, Aracena Martin hit a ground ball to third. Abby Spitler scored but Jalesa Asimba was put out at third to end the game.
Abbie Bise went 2-for-5 with a home run and five runs batted in. Bise’s three-run homer over the center field wall gave the Lady Jets a 9-7 lead in the third inning, part of a five-run inning.
Asimba went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Yazmine Howell also went 2-for-4, with a double and two RBIs.
