OKLAHOMA CITY – The Western Heights Lady Jets won the All City Athletic Conference Softball Championship Saturday (Aug. 24) with wins over Classen S.A.S. at Northeast and U.S. Grant.
WESTERN HEIGHTS 7, CLASSEN S.A.S. AT NORTHEAST 5
Western Heights took advantage of four Lady Comet errors in the win, collecting five hits.
Jalesa Asimba, Abbie Bise, Jasmine Frye, Yazmine Howell and Hannah Parker each had a hit in the win. Frye added two runs batted in and Bise drove in one run.
Asimba got the win, allowing four hits. None of the Classen’s five runs were earned to due to six Lady Jet errors.
WESTERN HEIGHTS 15, U.S. GRANT 4
Western Heights exploded for 10 runs in the sixth inning to run-rule host U.S. Grant and take the title.
Bise went 3-for-4 on the day with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Asimba added a 2-for-3 performance with a triple and 3 RBIs. Frye went a 2-for-4 with two runs batted in. Both Spitler and Parker added a hit in the win.
Spitler earned the win in the circle, allowing five hits, six walks and striking out five batters.
