VERDIGRIS – Bethany’s volleyball won five matches Saturday (Aug. 17) sweeping the Route 66 Nut House Bash Tournament and improving to 10-0.

Over the weekend tournament, the Lady Bronchos didn’t drop a single set. On Saturday, Bethany earned wins over Inola (25-11, 25-18), Cache twice (25-14, 25-16 and 25-17, 25-19 in the semifinals) and Tecumseh twice (25-13, 25-12 and 25-8, 25-11 in the finals).

“It was such a fun weekend and they are a great group, constantly supporting and encouraging each other,” Bethany coach Kerri Cagle said via text. “It really is a team effort. They all did fantastic.”

UP NEXT: Bethany will play a familiar opponent, traveling to Tecumseh Tuesday (Aug. 20) at 6 p.m.
