OKLAHOMA CITY – Deer Creek spoiled Putnam City North’s final home game of the season with a 14-3 loss Thursday (April 25).

An 11-run first inning set the tone as the Antlers cruised to the victory.

After the tough top of the first, North (8-23) got a run back. Sophomore Mitchell Taylor reached base on an error and scored after back-to-back singles by sophomore Austin Guerrero and senior Cayden Swart.

The Panthers scored again in the third inning as Taylor, Guerrero and Swart led off the inning with back-to-back-to-back singles. Taylor scored on a wild pitch and Guerrero scored on a groundout from sophomore Gavin Lang.

For North, Guerrero and Swart each went 2-for-2. Taylor finished 1-for-2.

UP NEXT: Weather and field conditions permitting, the Panthers travel to sister school Putnam City West Friday (April 26) at 5 p.m.
