OKLAHOMA CITY – Bethany and Putnam City picked up wins after Yukon forfeited 13 games, according to the OSSAA’s site.

No reason has been given by the school or the association for the forfeits.

The Sooner State Baseball Report first reported the forfeits.

The Pirates, now 5-13 and 4-6 in Class 6A District 1, picked up wins from March 4 and 5. This replaces 12-0 and 10-0 losses. The wins propelled Putnam City past the Millers in the district standings.

Bethany picked up a forfeit victory of its March 7 game with Yukon, which was originally a 5-5 tie, called due to lightning. The win is a non-district win and each team is in a different class. The Bronchos are now 16-9 and remain 11-1 in Class 4A District 1.

Putnam City West also played Yukon, but their 9-0 losses on April 1 and 2 were not affected by the changes. The Patriots remain 6-12 overall and 0-10 in Class 6A District 1.

Putnam City North will play the Millers April 18 at 5 p.m. in a non-district game.
