MOORE – An eight-run third inning did Putnam City North in, as Southmoore routed the Panthers, 12-4, Tuesday (March 12).
North (1-5) struck first with two runs in the first with singles from sophomore Mitchell Taylor and senior Cayden Stewart. Junior Jessie Aaron cleared the bases with a triple.
Trailing 12-2 in the fifth, North added two more runs. Junior Garcia, who is a junior, led off the inning with a single. Both junior Rocco Caratini and Stewart worked 3-2 walks. Wall then reached on an error allowing Garcia and Caratini to score.
Stewart, Taylor, Garcia and junior Jessie Aaron each got a hit in the loss.
