Pirates’ Ahtone named All-State wrestler

Putnam City senior Alexis Ahtone was named to the West All-State team by the Oklahoma Coaches Association.

Ahtone won a state at 130 on Feb. 24. She also finished first in the Putnam City North and Yukon tournaments. She finished second at Coppell and fourth at SuperGirl64.

Ashley Maldonado was named to the All Star Girls Wrestling Team for Class 6A West by the OCA. Maldonado finished third at 170 at state, ending her season with only three losses.

This season, she finished first at Putnam City, Putnam City North, Yukon and Coppell. Maldonado added a third-place finish at SuperGirl 64.
