BETHANY – Bethany junior Aiden Todd reached the 1,000-point mark as the Bronchos bounced back from their loss in the regional opener to beat Purcell, 77-65, in the consolation round of the Class 4A Area II Regional Friday (Feb. 23).

Todd scored 22 points en route to the milestone with two 3-pointers. He scored 15 of his total in the second half as Bethany (18-8) stretched a 33-31 halftime lead to a 12-point win.
“To score 1000 points is a big time accomplishment, especially as a junior,” Bethany coach Brett Cannon said via text. “(Aiden) puts in more extra work than any kid I know. He deserves it.”
Junior Wyatt Geissler added 20 points with five treys. Fellow junior Jackie Payne finished with 11 points.
Cannon called the bounce back a “resilient win.”
“(There’s) still some up and downs but it was great to see our guys score the ball tonight,” Cannon said. “Everyone played their role at a high level.”
