WEATHERFORD – Bethany was held scoreless from most of the first half as Class 4A No. 1 Weatherford rolled to a 66-37 win Tuesday (Feb. 6) in a Western Athletic Conference contest.
The Eagles (20-1) led 18-0 after one quarter. It wasn’t until 3:28 left in the second quarter that the Bronchos (15-6) got on the scoreboard with a 3-pointer from junior Wyatt Geissler to make it 28-3.. The rout was on and Bethany trailed 41-8 at halftime.
Junior Braxton Mullins led the team with seven points. Fellow junior Aiden Todd added six points and Geissler finished with six points as well.
The Eagles had three players in double-figures with junior C.J. Nickson scoring a game-high 23 points.
UP NEXT: The Bronchos return home to host Ardmore Friday (Feb. 9). Tip-off is at 8 p.m.
