MOORE – Putnam City broke a five-game losing streak behind three players scoring in double figures to rout Ardmore, 60-22, in the consolation bracket of the John Nobles Invitational at Moore High School Friday (Jan. 19).
Senior Ben Thompson led the Pirates (5-10) with 17 points. Junior D.J. Stephens added 14 points and a newcomer, freshman Gabe Osborne, scored 10 points.
Putnam City sprinted out to a 22-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back. Ardmore (8-7) only scored in double figures in one quarter, the second period.
UP NEXT: The Pirates meet Class 4A No, 6 Ada (12-3) in the Consolation Championship Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
