Bethany alum Jocelyn Malaska announced Tuesday (Jan. 2) that he is transferring from Utah to Oklahoma. He will be a preferred walk-on for the Sooners.

Malaska, who has three years of eligibility left, played in three games as a true freshman, including the Pac-12 championship game and the Rose Bowl in 2022. This past season, he played in five games, mostly on special teams.

Malaska is a 6-foot-1, 178-pound cornerback and also plays wide receiver. He was the 13th best prospect in the state in 2021, according the 247Sports, signing with the Utes.

Malaska played both ways for the Bronchos all four years, earning first-team all-district. Offensively, he caught 93 passes for 1,148 yards and seven touchdowns.. He also ran one punt back for a TD and two kickoffs.

Malaska intercepted seven passes in his Bethany career and had 107 tackles over four years, 54 coming his senior year. He also deflected 18 passes and had four tackles for loss.

Malaska also punted for Bethany and competed in track for the Bronchos.
