Several Putnam City West Patriots were honored with spots on the District 1 football All-District team in Class 6A-II.

Jordan Warrior was named the Utility Player of the Year. Warrior led the team with 13 catches, 333 yards receiving and five touchdown catches. He also nabbed five interceptions on defense for West.

Kaleb Herod was named Inside Linebacker of the year. Herod had 26 tackles with three for a loss. Teammate Aaron Edwards was the Outside Linebacker of the Year. Edwards led the team with 42 tackles, four for a loss and four sacks.

These Patriots were named All-District in District 1: Shyheim Johnson, Blaise Baxter, James Wilson, Rayshon Fay, Cornelius Grisby and D’Juan Knight.

West also had these players named honorable mention: Caysey Smith, Rome Primus, Jamar McCrary, James Keenum, Caden Daniels, Xaviear Christon, Wayne Stewart and Mykel Ford.
